Beach Cities Parents of Multiples Association, Inc.

The Beach Cities Parents of Multiples Association, Inc. (BCPMA) is a non-profit support group for families of multiples.  We are a chapter of the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Club (NOMOTC) and are affiliated with the Southern California Mothers of Twins Club (SCMOTC).

Founded in 1991, our membership consists of parents, parents-to-be, and guardians of multiple birth children.  Raising one child at a time is often difficult.  Raising twins, triplets or more can be exponentially difficult and BCPMA provides a valuable and important link to resources, research and support for our unique family needs.  With over 170 member families, BCPMA offers a wonderful opportunity to meet other families of multiples in the South Bay.

BCPMA offers a variety of education and social events.  Parents and parents-to-be are invited to attend monthly support group meetings to discuss challenges (such as breast feeding, toilet training and sibling rivalry) and get tips from “old hands”.  Additionally, we have bi-monthly general meetings that feature speakers on health, safety, parenting and multiple-related issues.

We also have a variety of social events, both for the family and several “mom-only” and “parent-only” events.  Playgroups for infants and toddlers are formed as needed, both by age and location, and meet at member’s homes or at local parks.  A Back-to-School social, a Halloween Party, New Year’s Party and Spring Picnic are just a few of the family social events. We also organize visits for the family to local attractions, such as the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Los Angeles Zoo.

Monthly Mom’s Night Out events are planned to offer mom a variety of events, from yoga to wine tasting to learning to knit.  Dad’s are not left out – they have their own Dad’s Night Out events planned twice a year.   Finally, we hold at least one “Parent’s Night Out” event each year to give Mom & Dad an event to look forward to!

Another valuable resource is the member-only page of our website where you will find information on child-care, nannies, a chat-board, resources for gently used baby equipment and toys, and a whole lot more!

If you are interested in joining BCPMA or would like more information, please click on the Contact Us page and someone will contact you shortly.
